Tattoo tips for Copenhagen
A few things worth knowing before you work through Copenhagen's tattoo shops:
- Walk-ins mean flash, usually at Nyhavn Tattoo. If you want custom work, book ahead. Walk-in slots are for flash designs and small pieces.
- Moisturise, don't drown it at CPH Ink. Thin layers of the recommended ointment. Too much suffocates the skin and slows healing.
- Trust the artist's placement advice. They've seen thousands of bodies. If they say the design won't age well there, listen.
- No swimming while it heals. Pools, lakes, hot tubs — all off limits for two to three weeks. Fresh tattoos and bacteria don't mix.
