We haven't mapped any thrift stores in Cancún, Quintana Roo yet. We searched about 40 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — covering charity shops and second-hand stores — and came up empty. That usually means the shops exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find.

What counts as a thrift store in Cancún, Quintana Roo

When we do find them, we list two kinds of shops. Charity shops — run by non-profits, staffed largely by volunteers, with proceeds funding the cause. And independent second-hand stores, which buy or consign used goods and price them to make a living. Both count. What doesn't count: pawn shops, cash-for-goods outfits, and appointment-only consignment boutiques that only take designer labels.
