Arcades in Assen

We haven't mapped any arcades in Assen, Drenthe yet. We searched about 25 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — arcades — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

What Assen's arcade page will look like

We can't describe arcades that aren't mapped yet, but we can say what the listing will contain: the venue's name, its street address where the map has one, and any hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. No paid placement, no sponsored slots — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

Assen sits about 53° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Arcades are gloriously weatherproof, and winter is peak season: when it's dark at five, the neon looks its best and the floors are busiest.

Until then, Assen remains a blank worth filling. Arcades thrive wherever people want cheap, social fun — they just need someone local to put them on the map.

Arcade smarts for Assen

No mapped arcades yet, but the arcade skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Ask about tournaments. Fighting game and pinball tournaments run weekly in many towns. Beginners are usually welcome and it's the fastest way to improve.
• Bring ear protection for kids. Arcades are loud. Little ears appreciate plugs, and you'll enjoy it more too.
• Ask staff for recommendations. Staff know which machines are new, which are broken, and which have the loosest tilt sensors. Ask.
• End on a win. Finish with a game you're good at. Leaving on a high score beats leaving on a tilt.

Our bar is a dedicated games venue open to the public. Arcades, bar-arcades, retro gaming bars — if the machines are the point, it qualifies. Casino floors don't.

When a qualifying arcade gets mapped in Assen, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

One edit is all it takes

Dayfari's arcades listings are read straight from OpenStreetMap, which means anyone can fix them. An arcade in Assen needs exactly one volunteer to add it — tagged leisure=amusement_arcade — and the next refresh pulls it onto this page automatically. The most useful details are the arcade's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
