Arcades in Fergus

The map for Fergus, Ontario's arcades is still blank. Our search covered roughly 40 km around Fergus, looking through OpenStreetMap for arcades, and turned up nothing mapped so far. Blank maps are usually a mapping gap rather than a real gap. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

Why arcades are worth mapping

Arcades are one of the last truly public play spaces: cheap, social, no membership, no app. The bar-arcade revival has given a lot of towns their third place back. That's why this page exists even with nothing to list — we'd rather show an honest blank than invent arcades in Fergus.

Fergus sits about 44° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Arcades are gloriously weatherproof, and winter is peak season: when it's dark at five, the neon looks its best and the floors are busiest.

Every arcade that gets mapped here appears in alphabetical order with what the community map knows: address, hours, website. No sponsored slots, ever.

Arcade smarts for Fergus

No mapped arcades yet, but the arcade skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Save your high-score photo. Take the photo. High scores are ephemeral and the bragging rights are forever.
• End on a win. Finish with a game you're good at. Leaving on a high score beats leaving on a tilt.
• Ask about free-play nights. Some venues run flat-fee evenings where everything's unlimited. The best value in arcading, when you find it.
• Ticket games are a tax. The prizes cost more in tickets than cash. Play them for fun, not for the giant plush — that's the most expensive plush alive.

What we're watching for in Fergus

A real games venue: classic arcades, bar-arcades, family entertainment centres with a genuine games floor. Walk-in, pay-per-play, built around the machines.

When a qualifying arcade gets mapped in Fergus, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying arcade appears in Fergus's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

One edit is all it takes

Dayfari's arcades listings are read straight from OpenStreetMap, which means anyone can fix them. An arcade in Fergus needs exactly one volunteer to add it — tagged leisure=amusement_arcade — and the next refresh pulls it onto this page automatically. The most useful details are the arcade's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
