Arcades in Luxor

The map for Luxor, Luxor Governorate's arcades is still blank. Our search covered roughly 25 km around Luxor, looking through OpenStreetMap for arcades, and turned up nothing mapped so far. Blank maps are usually a mapping gap rather than a real gap. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

Classic, bar-arcade, retro: the three flavours

Classic arcades are all-ages and game-first. Bar-arcades mix drinks with cabinets and skew adult in the evenings. Retro venues curate the old cabinets lovingly and often run the best-maintained floors. All three count here, and the best arcade towns have all three.

Luxor sits about 26° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Arcades are gloriously weatherproof, and winter is peak season: when it's dark at five, the neon looks its best and the floors are busiest.

When Luxor's arcades do get mapped, check the websites for tournament nights and free-play evenings — that's where the real value is.

Arcade smarts for Luxor

No mapped arcades yet, but the arcade skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Respect the machine queue. One credit, then rotate on busy machines. Camping a popular cabinet on a Saturday night is poor form.
• Ask about free-play nights. Some venues run flat-fee evenings where everything's unlimited. The best value in arcading, when you find it.
• Dance machines are cardio. Serious players treat them as workouts. Bring water, wear real shoes, and don't be embarrassed — everyone starts somewhere.
• Bar-arcades: pace yourself. Drinks and games mix well until they don't. The machines get harder exactly as you get worse at them.

When a qualifying arcade gets mapped in Luxor, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying arcade appears in Luxor's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

One edit is all it takes

Dayfari's arcades listings are read straight from OpenStreetMap, which means anyone can fix them. An arcade in Luxor needs exactly one volunteer to add it — tagged leisure=amusement_arcade — and the next refresh pulls it onto this page automatically. The most useful details are the arcade's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
