Arcades in Taxco

We haven't mapped any arcades in Taxco, Guerrero yet. We searched about 15 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — arcades — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

The arcade regular's playbook

Until Taxco has mapped arcades, here's how to work any venue. Go off-peak for your pick of machines. Check the payment system before you load up — tokens, cards, coins, all differ. Set a budget and stop when it's gone. Test the controls with one credit before committing. And bring a friend: everything's better head-to-head.

Taxco sits near the equator. There's no real off-season for arcades here, so venues run on their own rhythms — check websites for tournament nights and free-play evenings.

Ticket games deserve a warning: the prizes cost more in tickets than cash. Play them for fun, not for the giant plush.

Arcade smarts for Taxco

No mapped arcades yet, but the arcade skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Save your high-score photo. Take the photo. High scores are ephemeral and the bragging rights are forever.
• Ticket games are a tax. The prizes cost more in tickets than cash. Play them for fun, not for the giant plush — that's the most expensive plush alive.
• Ask staff for recommendations. Staff know which machines are new, which are broken, and which have the loosest tilt sensors. Ask.
• Check the payment system first. Tokens, reloadable cards, coins, or tap-to-play — every venue differs. Ask at the counter before you feed the wrong thing.

The kind of venue that belongs here

Somewhere you walk in to play: rows of cabinets, pinball, racing seats. Not two machines in a hallway — a real floor of games.

When a qualifying arcade gets mapped in Taxco, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying arcade appears in Taxco's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

How Taxco gets on the arcades map

Every listing on Dayfari starts as an OpenStreetMap edit by a local volunteer. If you know an arcade in Taxco, adding it to the map (tagged leisure=amusement_arcade) is the fastest way to get it listed here — our next refresh picks it up automatically. The most useful details are the arcade's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
