Art galleries in Yazd

Galleries are best taken slowly. Yazd, Yazd Province has 1 mapped right now. Just the one mapped gallery in Yazd so far — check its exhibition schedule, since the show changes everything. Opening nights are the cheat code — free entry, the artists in the room, and a crowd that actually wants to talk about the work.

This guide covers every art gallery we could verify in and around Yazd (within about 40 km), built from OpenStreetMap's community-maintained data. The one to know is Art House. If a gallery's missing from Yazd's list, it probably just hasn't been mapped yet.

Gallery tips for Yazd

A few things worth knowing before you work through Yazd's art galleries:

• Kids are welcome (usually) at Art House. Most galleries are fine with children; the contemporary ones especially. Call ahead if you're unsure.
• Ask about private views. Mailing lists get you invited to previews — quieter, with the artists around and first pick of the work.
• Note the curator's name. Good curators have taste you can follow. If you loved the show, look up what else they've put together.
• Trust your own reaction. You don't need the wall text's permission to love or hate a piece. Your honest reaction is the whole point of going.

Good to know

We searched about 40 km around Yazd — that covers the town itself plus the surrounding communities you'd reasonably drive to. Listings come from OpenStreetMap, mapped by local volunteers, so a brand-new art gallery in Yazd can take a while to appear. If you spot one of the 1 that's closed, or a great art gallery we missed, the fix is to update the map itself — that's where this guide reads from.

We don't review exhibitions — shows change too fast. What we list is the where: real galleries, verified by real mappers.

If you run one of the 1 listed here and something's wrong — a closure, a move, new hours — the fix is the same: update the shop on OpenStreetMap and the correction flows through to this page on the next daily refresh.
