Board game cafés in Izamal

The map for Izamal, Yucatán's board game cafés is still blank. Our search covered roughly 25 km around Izamal, looking through OpenStreetMap for board game cafés, and turned up nothing mapped so far. Blank maps are usually a mapping gap rather than a real gap. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

Café, bar, shop: the three flavours

Game cafés lead with the library and the kitchen — that's the classic night out. Game bars add drinks and skew adult in the evenings. Game shops with play space are retail-first but run the community nights. All three count here.

Izamal sits near the equator. There's no real off-season for game night here — the tables are waiting year-round, and weeknights are always the quiet insider move.

When Izamal's spots do get mapped, the listing will say which source each came from — community map or Foursquare — so you know what you're looking at.

Game night smarts for Izamal

No mapped game spots yet, but the game-night skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Ask about the shop section. Many cafés sell the games too, often with a try-first discount. Ask what's in stock.
• Check the party packages. Birthdays and team events at game cafés are excellent. Book ahead — weekends sell out.
• Ask about memberships. Regulars should ask. Monthly memberships often beat per-visit cover charges fast.
• Book ahead on weekends. Friday and Saturday nights fill up. A quick call or message saves a wasted trip across town.

The kind of venue that belongs here

Somewhere the games library is the point: a board game café, a game bar, a shop with play space. Not a pub with a chess set — the real thing.

When a qualifying board game café gets mapped in Izamal, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying board game café appears in Izamal's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

Put Izamal on the map

Know a board game café here that isn't listed? The fastest route onto this page runs through OpenStreetMap: add it as shop=games (name-matched) with its name and address, and it'll appear here after our next daily refresh. Local knowledge beats every dataset. The most useful details are the board game café's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
