Our search covered roughly 25 km around Sorrento, looking through OpenStreetMap for board game cafés, and turned up nothing mapped so far. Blank maps are usually a mapping gap rather than a real gap. What counts as a board game café in Sorrento

A place built around playing: cafés with games libraries, board game bars, and dedicated game shops with play space. We map community data plus Foursquare's venue directory, since cafés are thinly tagged on the map. What doesn't count: a pub with one chess set, and online-only sellers.

Sorrento sits about 51° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter is peak game-night season: dark early evenings, the perfect excuse to gather a group around a table for three hours.

When spots in Sorrento get mapped, they appear here with addresses and hours where recorded. Mapped means listed — no paid placement, no favourites.

Game night smarts for Sorrento

No mapped game spots yet, but the game-night skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Bring cash for the cover. Some smaller venues are cash-only at the door. A few bills avoid awkwardness.
• Mind the table time. On busy nights tables turn over. Finish your game, free the table, order another round at the bar.
• Don't bring your own games (usually). The library is the point. Some venues welcome outside games; ask first rather than assuming.
• Keep the noise reasonable. Excitement is fine; shouting across the room isn't. Other tables are concentrating.

The kind of venue that belongs here

Somewhere the games library is the point: a board game café, a game bar, a shop with play space. Not a pub with a chess set — the real thing.

When a qualifying board game café gets mapped in Sorrento, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying board game café appears in Sorrento's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

Put Sorrento on the map

Know a board game café here that isn't listed? The fastest route onto this page runs through OpenStreetMap: add it as shop=games (name-matched) with its name and address, and it'll appear here after our next daily refresh. Local knowledge beats every dataset. The most useful details are the board game café's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
