Board game cafés in St Andrews

We haven't mapped any board game cafés in St Andrews, Fife yet. We searched about 15 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — board game cafés — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

What St Andrews's game page will look like

We can't describe venues that aren't mapped yet, but we can say what the listing will contain: the venue's name, its street address where the sources have one, and any hours, phone or website recorded. No paid placement, no sponsored slots — if it's mapped, it's on the page.

St Andrews sits about 56° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter is peak game-night season: dark early evenings, the perfect excuse to gather a group around a table for three hours.

Until then, St Andrews remains a blank worth filling. Game nights thrive wherever people gather — the venues just need someone local to put them on the map.

Game night smarts for St Andrews

No mapped game spots yet, but the game-night skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Book ahead on weekends. Friday and Saturday nights fill up. A quick call or message saves a wasted trip across town.
• Ask about the cover charge. Many cafés charge per person for table time, often waived with food and drink. Ask before you sit, not after.
• Play the café's copy, buy your own later. Try before you buy is the whole model. Love a game? The shop side (or the café's retail shelf) has it.
• Check the party packages. Birthdays and team events at game cafés are excellent. Book ahead — weekends sell out.

When a qualifying board game café gets mapped in St Andrews, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying board game café appears in St Andrews's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

One edit is all it takes

Dayfari's board game cafés listings are read straight from OpenStreetMap, which means anyone can fix them. A board game café in St Andrews needs exactly one volunteer to add it — tagged shop=games (name-matched) — and the next refresh pulls it onto this page automatically. The most useful details are the board game café's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
