In this introductory workshop, create a simple spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel.
Participants must be comfortable with working in the Windows environment, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word is required including objectives covered in Getting Started with Microsoft Excel: Create, Edit, and Save a Document: The following objectives were previously covered in Getting Started with Microsoft Excel: Create, Edit, and Save a Document: Understand when to use Excel Effectively navigate through Excel and enter data Adjust, insert, and delete rows and columns The following objectives will be covered in Getting Started with Microsoft Excel: Format, Sort, and Navigate Formulas & Functions: Introduce the basics of ranges Format cells Understand how to sort data and why this is important Understand the concept of basic formulas & functions (AutoSum) Note: There are multiple versions of Microsoft Office products in use and the version used to teach this class may not align with the one you have available.
