Peer Support Group: Parents & Caregivers of Neurodivergent Children
Description
If you are navigating the unique joys and challenges of raising a neurodivergent child, please join us for our peer support group. This meeting will feature guest speaker, Registered Pediatric Psychologist, Dr. Kiran Pure , who will host an interactive collaborative session and Q&A forum on children’s mental health and advocacy. Grounded in Dr.
Pure’s collaborative approach with parents and educators, this initial meeting will identify key community needs and discuss neurodiversity, pediatric mental health, and systemic advocacy. Dr. Pure will be joined by Maria Keramaris, an experienced educator and mother of three neurodivergent children who will offer both professional and lived perspectives to guide the discussion and plan future follow-up initiatives. Additionally, Dr. Pure will provide updated editions of her "Talking About..." pamphlet series, which offers evidence-based resources for parents and teachers on topics such as anxiety, depression, and the connection between physical and mental well-being.
