What counts as a comic shop in Warwick

A shop built around comics: new issues, back issues, trades, usually with the games and collectibles alongside. What doesn't count: the graphic-novel shelf at the bookstore, and online-only sellers. The bar is a real shop where Wednesday means new comics.

Warwick sits about 52° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter is peak comics season: dark evenings, the big event storylines running, and the Wednesday ritual at its cosiest.

When comic shops in Warwick get mapped, they appear here with addresses and hours where recorded. Mapped means listed — no paid placement, no favourites.

Comic smarts for Warwick

No mapped comic shops yet, but the comics habits work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Ask about local creators. Many shops stock local indie creators and host signings. It's the most direct way to support comics in your town.
• Don't sleep on manga. The manga section has exploded for a reason. If you've never tried it, ask the staff for a starter series.
• Dig the back issues. The long boxes are the shop's memory. Full runs of older series hide here at a fraction of collected-edition prices.
• Check the events board. Signings, launches, creator visits — the board by the counter is the shop's social calendar.

The kind of shop that belongs here

Somewhere you can pull a weekly list and dig long boxes: a proper comic shop. Not a bookstore shelf — the real thing.

When a qualifying comic shop gets mapped in Warwick, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying comic shop appears in Warwick's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.
