Record stores in Jinan

We haven't mapped any record stores in Jinan, Shandong yet. We searched about 25 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — record stores — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

What counts as a record store in Jinan

A shop whose main business is selling recorded music on physical formats: new vinyl, used vinyl, or both. That covers independents and the specialists. What doesn't count: the vinyl wall at the lifestyle chain, and online-only sellers. The bar is a real shop with real bins to dig.

Jinan sits about 37° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter is peak digging season: dark evenings, the new-arrivals bin fresh from the autumn collection sell-offs, and nowhere better to spend a Saturday.

When record shops in Jinan get mapped, they appear here with addresses and hours where recorded. Mapped means listed — no paid placement, no favourites.

Digging smarts for Jinan

No mapped record shops yet, but the digging skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Ask about want-list services. Good shops will keep an eye out for your grails. It takes patience, but the call when it lands is worth it.
• Learn your labels. Certain labels mean certain quality. A quick education in the labels of your favourite genres pays off fast.
• Ask to play it. Good shops have turntables for exactly this. If they won't let you listen, that's information too.
• Inspect the seams. Split seams and ring wear tell you how a record lived. Light wear is fine; trashed sleeves drag the value.

The kind of shop that belongs here

Somewhere you can flip through crates: an independent record shop, a used vinyl specialist. Not a department store aisle — a real dig.

When a qualifying record store gets mapped in Jinan, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying record store appears in Jinan's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.
