Record stores in Praia

The map for Praia, Praia's record stores is still blank. Our search covered roughly 30 km around Praia, looking through OpenStreetMap for record stores, and turned up nothing mapped so far. Blank maps are usually a mapping gap rather than a real gap. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

What Praia's record page will look like

We can't describe shops that aren't mapped yet, but we can say what the listing will contain: the shop's name, whether it's new, used, or both, its street address where the map has one, and any hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. No paid placement, no sponsored slots — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

Praia sits near the equator. There's no real off-season for digging here, so shops restock on their own rhythms — ask when new used stock hits the floor.

Until then, Praia remains a blank worth filling. Record shops thrive wherever music lovers live — they just need someone local to put them on the map.

Digging smarts for Praia

No mapped record shops yet, but the digging skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Bring a want-list. Write down what you're hunting. Digging is fun, but a list turns luck into strategy.
• Check the dead wax. The runout groove holds matrix numbers that identify pressings. Collectors live by these; a quick phone search settles it.
• Check the turntable section. Many record shops sell used decks and cartridges. A serviced vintage turntable beats a cheap new one.
• Check for box sets. Box sets get broken up or sold whole; either way the per-record price is often excellent.

What we're watching for in Praia

A real record shop: new vinyl, used vinyl, or both, with bins to dig. Independents and specialists all count. The vinyl wall at the lifestyle chain doesn't.

When a qualifying record store gets mapped in Praia, this page updates on the next refresh with its name, address where available, and whatever hours, phone or website the mappers recorded. Nothing here is paid placement and nothing is sponsored — if it's on the map, it's on the page.

This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so the moment a qualifying record store appears in Praia's OpenStreetMap data, it shows up here — usually within a day of being mapped.

How Praia gets on the record stores map

Every listing on Dayfari starts as an OpenStreetMap edit by a local volunteer. If you know a record store in Praia, adding it to the map (tagged shop=music) is the fastest way to get it listed here — our next refresh picks it up automatically. The most useful details are the record store's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
