Record digging tips for Quedlinburg

A few things worth knowing before you work through Quedlinburg's record stores:

• Check Discogs before big purchases at Toepperwein Music. A quick price check on your phone keeps everyone honest — you and the shop.
• Check the bargain wall rhythm. Shops restock the cheap sections on cycles. Ask when — that's when the fresh bargains land.
• Check for warps in the shop. Hold the record at eye level and sight along it. Warps that look minor at home look obvious in the store.
• Learn your labels. Certain labels mean certain quality. A quick education in the labels of your favourite genres pays off fast.
