Record digging tips for Sherwood Park

How the regulars work Sherwood Park's bins:

• Visit on restock days at Atreus XO. Shops process collections on rhythms. Ask when new used stock hits the floor and time your visits.
• Handle records properly in the shop at Sunrise Records. By the edges, never the grooves. Shops notice, and so do the records.
• The listening station is the test. If a record looks questionable, play the loud passages. That's where surface noise shows up.
• Check for warps in the shop. Hold the record at eye level and sight along it. Warps that look minor at home look obvious in the store.
