Record stores in Trim

We haven't mapped any record stores in Trim, County Meath yet. We searched about 40 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — record stores — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

What counts as a record store in Trim

A shop whose main business is selling recorded music on physical formats: new vinyl, used vinyl, or both. That covers independents and the specialists. What doesn't count: the vinyl wall at the lifestyle chain, and online-only sellers. The bar is a real shop with real bins to dig.

Trim sits about 54° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter is peak digging season: dark evenings, the new-arrivals bin fresh from the autumn collection sell-offs, and nowhere better to spend a Saturday.

When record shops in Trim get mapped, they appear here with addresses and hours where recorded. Mapped means listed — no paid placement, no favourites.

Digging smarts for Trim

No mapped record shops yet, but the digging skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Check for box sets. Box sets get broken up or sold whole; either way the per-record price is often excellent.
• Don't clean records with your shirt. A proper brush costs little and saves grooves. Shirt fibres and spit are how records get ruined.
• Check the dead wax. The runout groove holds matrix numbers that identify pressings. Collectors live by these; a quick phone search settles it.
• Check the turntable section. Many record shops sell used decks and cartridges. A serviced vintage turntable beats a cheap new one.
