New to Western?

Just landed in London for school? What's on at Western University, what's free, where to study, and how to meet people — pulled from London's real event feed.

Start here — new to Western?

New in London for school? Start here. This page pulls together what a student actually needs in the first weeks: what's on at Western University in Richmond Street / University Drive, north of downtown, what's free around town, where to study, where the cheap coffee is, and how to meet people who aren't in your lectures. Everything below is real listings from London's own event feed — no filler, no invented "student deals".

London's campuses:

Western University — Richmond Street / University Drive, north of downtown
Fanshawe College — Oxford Street East

London also has Fanshawe — each with its own crowd and its own corners of town. Student life here runs on the same rails as the town's — the rec centre, the library, the halls — so most of what's on this page is students and locals in the same room. That's the good part.

On campus & coming up

Events at London's campuses and in campus venues over the next few weeks — performances, games, talks, fairs and the one-off stuff that's easy to miss in your first term.

Free & cheap in London

Student budgets are real, so this section is strict: if it's listed here, it's Free — free admission events from London's feed, soonest first.

Clubs, teams & people to meet

The fastest way to stop feeling new is to join something. Club nights, community fixtures, rec-league and campus-adjacent sports running in London right now:

Run a club or a team? Put your nights on this page — posting is free and every post is reviewed by a person before it shows.

Study spots & libraries

Off campus, London's public libraries run study space plus a steady stream of free programs — language practice, tech help, film nights, exam-season quiet rooms when they offer them. Branches showing up in the feed: 3rd Floor - Central Branch, London Public Library, Wolf Performance Hall - London Public Library.

Cheap eats & coffee runs

Food events and markets in the feed right now:

For the standing list — the noodle place by campus, the bakery that does student-priced loaves, the late-night slice — see Dayfari's where to eat in London guide and filter by the campus neighbourhoods above.

Weekend, no car needed

When the term lets go of you for a day, London's surroundings are the reset button. Our day-trip picks for this town are still being assembled — the weekend events in the sections above are real and current in the meantime.

Run a club? Post your events

Club execs, residence councils, intramural captains: this page is read by the exact people you're trying to reach, and posting costs nothing. Send your night, your tryout, your bake sale — a person reviews every post, and approved events show here with your name on them.
