Tattoo shops in Wells

We haven't mapped any tattoo shops in Wells, BC yet. We searched about 25 km around town in OpenStreetMap's community data — tattoo shops — and came up empty. That usually means the places exist but nobody's mapped them, not that there's nothing to find. This page refreshes daily from the latest map data, so a blank today can be a full guide tomorrow.

How to vet a studio without visiting

No mapped studios in Wells yet, but the research works the same anywhere. Start with portfolios: a studio's recent work should be easy to find online, and healed photos matter more than fresh ones. Then check the basics — licensing, single-use needles, a real shop address. A consultation costs nothing and tells you everything about how the place runs.

Wells sits about 53° north of the equator, so it gets proper seasons. Winter's the classic tattoo season: fresh ink stays covered and out of the sun while it heals, and nobody's tempted by the lake.

Red flags travel well too: no visible portfolio, prices far below everyone else, pressure to decide on the spot, or vagueness about sterilisation. Any one of those is a walk-away.

Tattoo smarts for Wells

No mapped studios yet, but the vetting skills work anywhere. Four worth knowing:

• Book a consultation first. Most good shops offer free consults. You get to meet the artist, talk placement and price, and see how clean the place is.
• Sun is the enemy of fresh ink. UV fades tattoos fast, especially new ones. Once healed, sunscreen on the tattoo becomes a lifelong habit.
• Check healed photos. Fresh tattoos always look good. Ask to see healed work — that's the real quality test.
• Aftercare is half the tattoo. Follow the artist's instructions, not your friend's. Keep it clean, keep it moisturised, keep it out of the sun.

What we're watching for in Wells

A real shop: a fixed address, licensed artists working on the books, portfolios you can browse before you commit, and proper sterilisation you can see. Walk-in flash days are a bonus, not a requirement.

Put Wells on the map

Know a tattoo shop here that isn't listed? The fastest route onto this page runs through OpenStreetMap: add it as shop=tattoo with its name and address, and it'll appear here after our next daily refresh. Local knowledge beats every dataset. The most useful details are the tattoo shop's name, its street address, and its opening hours — even a name and a pin on the map is enough to get started.
