Thrift stores in Coleraine

Coleraine, Northern Ireland has 10 thrift and charity shops on the map right now. 9 of them are charity shops and 1 are independent second-hand stores, so Coleraine gives you both flavours of thrifting in one trip. Stock turns over fast in all of them, so the shop that had nothing last month might have your thing this week.

This guide covers every thrift store we could verify in and around Coleraine (within about 25 km), built from OpenStreetMap's community-maintained data. Names you'll run into include Community Rescue Service and Hospice Shop, plus Barnardo's — each with its own personality, which is half the fun. If a shop's missing from Coleraine's list, it probably just hasn't been mapped yet — the scene is bigger than any single dataset.

Thrifting tips for Coleraine

Thrifting in Coleraine goes better with a little prep:

• Inspect electronics in the store at Community Rescue Service. Plug it in before you pay. Most thrift shops sell electronics as-is, and a cheap record player can be an expensive paperweight.
• Ask when new stock hits the floor at Hospice Shop. Shops restock on rhythms — truck days, volunteer shifts. One question at the counter tells you when to come back.
• Visit at opening time. Serious pickers arrive at opening. You don't have to be one of them, but the first hour has the best pick of the day's restock.
• Follow the shop if it's online. Some stores post new arrivals or sale days on social media. One follow costs nothing and catches the announcements.
