A township of villages eats in a string of little main streets: Stayner's Highway 26 run — the Lebanese-Mediterranean kitchen, the 7 am diner, fish and chips, Cantonese, sushi four nights a week and a three-day Caribbean week worth planning for — plus a pizza house in New Lowell, a country market café in Glen Huron and an escarpment café above Duntroon. Twenty-one verified addresses, all seated in Clearview Township; Creemore's tables live in Creemore's own guide.
Photos for Clearview are still on their way. Every listing below is real.
One township, a dozen little main streets: eating in Clearview
Clearview Township eats the way it is built — not in one downtown but in a string of villages strung along the Niagara Escarpment south of Nottawasaga Bay. Stayner, the municipal seat, does most of the feeding: its Highway 26 and Main Street run holds a Lebanese-Mediterranean kitchen, a classic diner, fish and chips, Cantonese, sushi four nights a week, an Indian kitchen, a scratch bakery and two cafés within a few hundred metres of the Station Park corner. Out on the sideroad north of town, a Caribbean eatery keeps a three-day week that regulars plan around. Beyond Stayner, the township's other communities each hold a table or two of their own: a pizza house in New Lowell, a country market café in Glen Huron, an escarpment golf café above Duntroon, and a corner diner at Sunnidale Corners. Twenty-one cards follow, every one seated inside the township.
The seat test is printed, not hidden, and in Clearview it cuts two ways. Creemore — the village in this township's south-east — is its own registry town with its own finished guide: not one Creemore-seated table appears here, however township-branded the business name sounds. And the neighbouring municipalities — Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains, Springwater, Essa, Mulmur and Grey Highlands — are refused at the end of this page, including one much-loved Singhampton restaurant whose own record seats it across the Grey Highlands line. Where two sources disagree on an address, a phone or an hour, the disagreement is printed on the card rather than smoothed over. No dish price appears anywhere on this page — only a price band.
The anchors: two weekly markets, Stayner and Brentwood (provisional)
Stayner — provisional.Stayner Music, Market and Park It fills the Station Park lot at 7259 Highway 26 on Thursday evenings, 4:30–8:00 pm, in season — farmers, producers and food vendors, artisans, a classic car show, children's activities and live music from 7:00 pm, with the licensed bar hosted by the Stayner Kinsmen Club, per the Township's own Discover Clearview surface, which dates the 2026 season June 4 to September 3 — a season already finished at this guide's October build, so the next season's dates are the thing to confirm. One conflict, printed and never merged: the county tourism form runs the same market 4:30–7:30 pm at a 7529 Highway 26 address — the Township's own surface governs here. The Discover Clearview farmers' markets page.
Brentwood — provisional. The Brentwood Farmers' Market sets up at Brentwood Hall, 9926 County Road 10, in the township's south-east community of Brentwood, on Fridays, 3:00–7:00 pm — the county tourism surface dates its 2026 season May 29 to October 9, which means its final market of the year falls on this guide's build day; check before a special trip. Stayner's most talked-about table: a Lebanese and Mediterranean kitchen in the Highway 26 plaza — shawarma, falafel, halloumi and mujadara in the diners' telling, with a whole-chicken dinner and lemon potatoes among the plates its record keeps naming. One directory form carries a different phone for the same address; the number above is the one its own listings agree on. The Kitch'n Savvy menu page.

7304 ON-26, Stayner · +1 705-517-0071 · Daily 11 am–11 pm (Fri from 9 am), per its place record · Moderate
The bar and grill now holding 7304 Highway 26, on the same phone its predecessor kept. That predecessor matters, and it is printed in the notes at the end of this page: the ramen and fried-chicken house that traded here for eight years closed for good in May 2026 — this card is the current house, not a revival of the old one. The Firewings Bar & Grill website.

Miso Hot — sushi, four evenings a week
236 William St Unit 6, Stayner · +1 705-517-6476 · Wed–Sat 4–8 pm, per its place record · Moderate
A small Japanese kitchen just off the main run — sushi and crispy sushi bites, a spicy salmon bento, shrimp tempura and noodle soups on its record. It opens for dinner only, four evenings a week, so this is a planned visit, not a walk-by. The Miso Hot website.

Stayner's Indian restaurant, in the same Highway 26 block as Cafe Coco and Friends Pub — the township's curry house on the record reached, open six days a week with Mondays absent from its week. It trades on a Toronto-area phone exchange; the number above is the one its record carries. Magic Spices on the Stayner listings.

A community café and comfort-food room with a natural-light dining room, outdoor seating and room to work — a butter-toasted bagel, a bulgogi beef baguette and a strawberry matcha are the items its record and reviewers keep naming. Two flags, printed and never merged: a listings form opens it at 7:30 am and closes it Sundays, and carries a different 249 phone — the place record above governs until the house settles both. The 1904 Social Haus website.
Bakery By The Bay — the scratch bakery, Thursday to Sunday
7278 ON-26, Stayner · +1 705-888-4899 · Thu–Sat 10 am–4 pm; Sun 10 am–3 pm, per its place record · Moderate
A scratch bakery in the house's own words — everything made from scratch: oversized cinnamon buns and butter tarts lead its record, with cupcakes, carrot cake and a lunch special on fresh sourdough. Hours flag, printed: several directories run it seven days a week at shorter hours; its place record keeps a Thursday-to-Sunday week, and that is what this card prints. It shares the 7278 address with the pizza shop next door — two houses, one plaza address, never merged. The Bakery By The Bay listing.
Creemore Pizza Co. — Stayner — the pizza shop at 7278
7278 ON-26, Stayner · +1 705-428-3131 · Thu–Sat 3–8:30 pm; Sun 3–7 pm, per its place record · Inexpensive
Read the seat, not the name: this is the Stayner room of the Creemore-named pizza company, physically seated on Highway 26 in Stayner — so it is this township guide's card, while the company's Mill Street shop in Creemore village is Creemore's own record and appears nowhere here. Thin-crust pies, a poutine pizza and the skull calzone are its record's signatures; afternoons and evenings only. The Creemore Pizza Co. website.
Sunnidale Corners Diner — breakfast at the crossroads
Sunnidale Corners, Stayner · +1 705-428-2241 · No hours published on the surfaces reached · Inexpensive
The diner at Sunnidale Corners, where Highway 26 meets County Road 10 east of Stayner — free-range eggs, local bacon and fresh-cut potatoes are what its reviewers remember, at prices they call hard to match. Address flag, printed and never merged: one directory seats it at 12384 County Road 10 and another at 6038-6046 Highway 26 — the same crossroads corner described two ways; the phone above is common to both. The Sunnidale Corners Diner record.
Tim Hortons — the Highway 26 coffee, declared a chain
7377 ON-26, Stayner · +1 705-428-6999 · Daily 4 am–10 pm, per the chain's own branch page · Inexpensive
The Stayner room of the national chain — declared here as a chain, because it is one. The earliest coffee in the township on its record, and the plaza anchor the Mr. Sub and Dairy Queen cards below share. The Tim Hortons Stayner branch page.
Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — burgers and Blizzards, declared a chain
7377 ON-26 Unit 5, Stayner · +1 705-428-0414 · Sun–Wed 10 am–11 pm; Thu–Sat 10 am–12 am, per its place record · Inexpensive
The grill-and-chill room of the soft-serve chain, in the same 7377 plaza — burgers and fries under the Blizzard sign, with the latest kitchen hours on this page Thursday to Saturday. A directory form also seats a Dairy Queen on Main Street East; the two are never merged, and the Highway 26 record above governs here. The Dairy Queen Stayner page.
Subway — the Main Street sandwich shop, declared a chain
200-202 Main St, Stayner · +1 705-428-0677 · No hours published on the surfaces reached · Inexpensive
The Main Street room of the sandwich chain — declared as a chain. Footlongs, wraps and salads in the chain's standard form, at the downtown end of Stayner rather than out on the highway plaza. The Subway Stayner directory record.
Mr. Sub — the 7377 plaza sub shop, declared a chain
7377 ON-26, Stayner · +1 705-428-4300 · No hours published on the surfaces reached · Inexpensive
The Canadian sub chain's Stayner counter, sharing the 7377 plaza with the Tim Hortons and Dairy Queen above — the assorted sub and the '68 sauce in the chain's own telling, with vegetarian options and a kid-friendly room on its directory record. The Mr. Sub Stayner directory record.
The rest of the township: New Lowell, Glen Huron and Duntroon
Life's a Slice Pizza — New Lowell's only pizza store
5293 County Rd 9, New Lowell · +1 705-424-0048 · Mon–Thu 11 am–8 pm; Fri–Sat 11 am–8:30 pm; Sun 12–8 pm, per its place record · Inexpensive
New Lowell's pizza house, beside the school and the campground — a chicken tikka masala pizza and Caesar wraps sit alongside the standard pies and wings on its record, and a property listing for the business calls it the only pizza store within ten kilometres. A Stayner namesake trades at 7380 Highway 26 under a different phone — a distinct house, named in the notes below, never merged. The Life's a Slice New Lowell website.
Giffen's Country Market & Café — the Glen Huron country store
55 Station St, Glen Huron · +1 705-466-3080 · Mon–Sat 9 am–5 pm, per its menu surface · Moderate
A country market and café in Glen Huron, the hamlet on the Mad River below the escarpment — eggs Benedict, meatloaf, sausage rolls and apple pie in the country idiom on its menu surface, with the market shelves around the tables. The township's south-west table, and the natural stop on the way to the Nottawasaga Bluffs trails. The Giffen's Country Market website.
Duntroon Highlands Café — the escarpment café at the golf course
1226 Concession 10 N Nottawasaga Rd, Duntroon · +1 705-445-3554 · Course hours daily 7 am–6 pm (Fri to 7 pm), per its place record · Moderate
The locally inspired café at Duntroon Highlands, the 18-hole course high on the escarpment above Duntroon — a room with a view over South Georgian Bay in the house's own telling, pulled pork tacos in the reviewers' notes, and trails linking toward the Bruce Trail from the same property. The course's Collingwood phone exchange does not move its seat: the property sits in Clearview, above Duntroon. The Duntroon Highlands website.
Named, not carded — and the refusals, printed
Named, not carded, for want of a live house surface at card grade, because the house is a truck or a counter first, or because its records conflict beyond a fair card: The Crave Cave Food Truck (7252 Highway 26, Stayner — a food truck on a daily record at the Station Park end of town), The Chopsticks (7380 Highway 26 — Chinese at the Airport Road corner on directory traces), Life's A Slice Pizza — Stayner (7380 Highway 26, +1 705-428-0888 — the Stayner namesake of the New Lowell house carded above, at the same address the Chopsticks traces carry; successive or co-located houses are never merged), The Hangar Bar & Grill / Bistro 26 (5195 Highway 26 at the Edenvale airfield — three name forms circulate for the one airfield table; none is printed as settled), Cashtown Burger (Cashtown Corners — a name and phone on the Township's 2023-24 tasting map only), Stayner Burger (7423 Highway 26 — a directory line sharing the diner plaza's address), Coffee Time (7117 Highway 26 — directory grade), Dixie Lee (6-236 William Street — directory grade), PizzaForno (7458 Highway 26 — a 24-hour pizza vending counter at the Youth Centre address, not a restaurant), the Creemore Coffee Company roastery in New Lowell (a roastery store seated in New Lowell — named here as township geography, carded nowhere until a café-grade surface is read), and the declared chains named by name only — Pizza Hut and KFC on Main Street East (directory forms share one phone between them; never merged). A closed house is never presented as an open table: Honey Monster Fried Chicken & Ramen (7304 Highway 26) served Stayner for eight years and closed for good in May 2026 by its own announcement — it appears here as a memory, and its address and phone now belong to the Firewings card above.
Refusals, printed so the sort is visible. Every table seated in Creemore village is refused here — The Pine, Chez Michel, the Mill Street pubs, bakeries and pizza shops are the closed Creemore build's own records, and this township guide does not re-stage them; the one apparent exception proves the rule, because the Creemore-named pizza shop carded above is physically seated in Stayner. Every table seated in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains, Springwater, Essa or Mulmur is likewise refused, however a regional page labels it. One refusal deserves its own sentence: Mylar & Loreta's, the much-loved Singhampton comfort-food house, is refused because its own place record seats it in Grey Highlands — a Singhampton postal address does not pull a Grey Highlands seat into Clearview, and the record governs. A Clearview postal address alone does not seat a business here either; the business's own surface settles its seat.
Two disciplines, stated plainly. First, community meals: this guide's audit of Clearview's community meals is still in progress, and nothing from that layer is carded here — no meal is ever carded as a restaurant, and no meal host is named at any grade in this pass. Second, the markets: both market sections above are provisional — Stayner Thursdays at Station Park on the Township's own dates, Brentwood Fridays at Brentwood Hall on the county surface's dates — until each market's settled form is confirmed for this guide.
