Indoor activities in Boucherville: two clusters and a halls circuit

Swim, skate, curl, read and take a spectacle -- the rainy-day bench, with its one absence labelled.

Indoor activities in Boucherville: the chemin du Lac cluster and the halls circuit

A Boucherville rainy day has a geography: the chemin du Lac cluster (aquatic complex, library, the Pierre-Laporte grounds), the Francine-Gadbois centre on Lionel-Daunais, the Gilles-Chabot ice centre on de Mortagne, and the Vieux's cafe-gallery. Between them, a wet week fills without leaving town -- except for one honest absence, printed below.

The indoor bench, venue by venue

Swim and skate

Complexe aquatique Laurie-Eve-Cormier, 490 ch. du Lac -- Centre des glaces Gilles-Chabot, 565 boul. de Mortagne

The Ville's aquatic complex anchors the chemin du Lac cluster, and the ice centre houses the curling club in its live season: the Club de curling de Boucherville, at the Centre des glaces Gilles-Chabot, 565 boul. de Mortagne -- the town's own curling club, LIVE for the 2026-27 season on the club's own surfaces: its Tarifs et Inscription page carries the 2026-27 rates, its autumn 2026 announcements open registration (a Junior programme running Sunday October 4 to December 6, 2026 and January 17 to March 21, 2027, and Curling 101), and in September 2026 it announced Curling Quebec's Meritas Club de l'annee 2025-2026.

The halls circuit

Francine-Gadbois, the library, the Maison du benevolat and the community rooms

the Centre multifonctionnel Francine-Gadbois, 1075 rue Lionel-Daunais -- the Ville's multifunction hall: home of the Galerie Vincent-d'Indy, the Ecole de danse de Boucherville and the Theatre Jankijou, a Ville-accredited community-theatre company active since 1990, and the secretariat of the Carrefour des Aines The Bibliotheque's animation space, the Maison du benevolat (11 rue Louis-H.-La Fontaine Nord, the CABB's house), the Centre communautaire Saint-Louis and the Cercle social Pierre-Boucher complete the Ville's venue circuit. No capacities are printed -- the Ville publishes none in the sources read.

The big room

Salle Desjardins, 955 boul. de Montarville -- a 610-seat performance and rental hall

The town's largest indoor room is a performance and rental hall at the De Mortagne school pole -- a hall, printed as a hall. It is not a cinema, and nothing in this guide turns it into one.

The honest absence: no indoor cinema, no indoor mall day

Boucherville has NO operating cinema, and this guide never implies one. Both of the town's historic houses are recorded closed permanently: the Cineplex Odeon Boucherville, 20 boul. de Mortagne, and the Cine-Parc Boucherville drive-in (its screens were demolished in fall 2025 and it is confirmed not returning). The Cinematheque quebecoise address in Boucherville, 102 rue de Vaudreuil, is its conservation centre -- an archive vault that runs no public programme, not a cinema. The Ville's Cinema-Pop outdoor screenings are municipal pop-up programming; no dated 2026 screening was captured, so none is listed The Carrefour de la Rive-Sud, the town's big retail, is an open-air power centre -- a shopping trip, not an indoor refuge. A rainy-day film or an enclosed-mall afternoon is a labelled trip to Longueuil or Montreal, as themselves, on the day-trips pages.

Common questions

What can you do indoors in Boucherville?

Swim at the Complexe aquatique Laurie-Eve-Cormier, skate or curl at the Centre des glaces Gilles-Chabot, take a spectacle or an exhibition at the Centre Francine-Gadbois or the Cafe centre d'art, and use the library's programme -- the chemin du Lac and Lionel-Daunais clusters carry a rainy day.

Is there an indoor cinema or mall in Boucherville?

No cinema at all -- both historic houses are closed permanently, and the Cinematheque's Boucherville site is a conservation centre. The Carrefour de la Rive-Sud is an open-air power centre, not an enclosed mall.
