Live music

Live music in Petawawa: where the town actually puts its stages

Petawawa has no concert hall, and its music does not need one: it lives at the Legion, in the pubs, on market days and on the Civic Centre's two floors. Here is where each form is published, and how not to miss it.

The stages of the town, first

The settled form: Petawawa's live music is presenter music. The Royal Canadian Legion in town programmes music nights and dances on its own listings; the pubs bill their own acts (September 2026 listings reached show a pub festival at the BLVD Pub-Bar & Grill); the Town's events carry live entertainment as part of their draw -- the Container Market's Friday nights and the Farm to Trail walking market both publish it; and the Civic Centre hosts concerts in its banquet hall and, in the ice-out months, on its arena floor. No presenter in that list publishes a permanent weekly bill on the surfaces reached, so this guide prints the stages and the discipline, not a gig grid.

the Petawawa Civic Centre, 16 Civic Centre Road, is the town's indoor hub: the Town's own facilities page gives an arena with an 83.5-by-183.5-foot ice surface and spectator seating for 554, a 6,000-square-foot banquet hall seating 272, a fundraising lounge for 20, and a Rotary Room booked through the Petawawa Public Library, which shares the Civic Centre campus. Outside are ball diamonds, soccer fields and a mini-putt course the Town packages in summer (June to September on its party-package page); the arena floor carries floor hockey, vendor events, concerts and receptions from April to September, when the ice is out. Recreation office hours and every programme grid live with the Town.

The forms of the outing

The Legion stage

Music nights at the Royal Canadian Legion

The Legion is the town's community stage: music nights, dances and ticketed shows on its own listings and the town's event calendars reached. The bill of the week lives with the branch -- check before you plan a Friday around it.

The market music

Container Market Fridays and Farm to Trail

the Petawawa Container Market, on Civic Centre Road by the Civic Centre, is the town's market form on the event listings reached: Friday-night market sessions and Saturday shopping through the season, with live music among its published draws. Around it sit the Town's food events: Taste of the Valley, the Renfrew County food festival hosted at the Petawawa Civic Centre in September on the accounts reached, and the Town's own Farm to Trail, a walking market along the Algonquin Trail starting at 3119-B Petawawa Boulevard, whose passport the Town prices at $60 plus HST for the exclusive tastings and gifts, with non-ticketed browsing free at the vendors. Season dates and vendor lists live with the Town and the market, never projected here.

The big floor

Arena-floor concerts, April to September

When the ice comes out, the Civic Centre arena floor (554 seats in hockey form) carries concerts and receptions on the Town's facilities page. It is the largest indoor music floor in town, and its dates are the Town's to publish.

The festival stage

Once a year the town's music gets a festival stage: the founding accounts of the Petawawa Ramble describe musical entertainment at the Heritage Village across the Ramble weekend, and the Town's own events -- the Container Market's sessions and Farm to Trail -- publish live entertainment as part of their draw through the season. The Ramble's year's bill, like every bill on this page, lives with its presenter; the form -- fall, Village, community stages -- is the settled part.

The verification discipline

A gig grid ages in a week, so none is copied here. The method: the Legion's and the pubs' own pages for their nights, the Town's events surfaces for market and Farm to Trail entertainment, and the Civic Centre calendar for hall and floor concerts. If a presenter publishes no music for your week, the honest answer is that none is published -- not that one should be invented.

The bigger bill, as an outing

For a touring-act concert hall, the settled outings are Pembroke's stages down Highway 17 and Ottawa's arenas and theatres -- each at home, named as destinations on this guide's day-trips pages, with the night drive home planned first. The garrison's own bands and mess events belong to the garrison community and are attributed to it, never listed as public concerts.

Common questions

Where can I hear live music in Petawawa?

At the Legion's music nights, on pub bills (the BLVD Pub-Bar & Grill appears on September 2026 listings), at the Container Market's Friday nights and Farm to Trail in season, and at Civic Centre hall and arena-floor concerts. Each bill lives with its presenter.

Is there a weekly live-music night in Petawawa?

No standing weekly bill is published on the surfaces reached, and this guide asserts none. Music here is programmed event by event -- the presenters' pages are the grid.

Does the Civic Centre host concerts?

Yes: the Town's facilities page lists concerts among the banquet hall's uses and among the arena floor's April-to-September uses. Dates and tickets live with the Town and each show's promoter.
