Events in Lakeshore

Events in Lakeshore, drawn only from the town crew's staged records — listings published by the organizers themselves, plus the town's annual fixtures, labelled as fixtures. Lakeshore's 2026 festival season is mostly behind us: the 167th Comber Fair was real, dated and well attended, and it appears below as the annual fixture it is — never dressed up as upcoming, and never given invented 2027 dates. What is genuinely still ahead is listed first: a street festival this Friday, Remembrance Day in three communities, and the BIA's Christmas parade in late November.

Photos for Lakeshore are still on their way. Every listing below is real.

Still ahead: dated and published

Every item in this section carries a date published by its own organizer in the crew's staged records.

Stroll the Street — Thanksgiving edition, Belle River

Notre Dame St, Belle River · Fri Oct 9, 2026 · 6–8:30 p.m. · Belle River BIA

Friday, October 9, 2026, 6 to 8:30 p.m. — the Belle River BIA's evening street festival of local shopping, food, vendors, family activities, live music and performances, in its Thanksgiving edition. Stroll the Street is a recurring Friday-evening series; only this dated 2026 edition was published in the surfaces the crew reached, so only it is listed.

Merry and Bright Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, Belle River

Notre Dame St, Belle River · Fri Nov 27, 2026 · Belle River BIA · Christmas Market alongside

Friday, November 27, 2026 — the Belle River BIA's flagship Christmas night: a parade down Notre Dame Street followed by the tree lighting, with the BIA's Christmas Market alongside it (vendor registration runs on the BIA's own page). The date is the BIA's own published date; check the BIA page for the evening's schedule as it firms up.

Advance voting — municipal election, Atlas Tube Recreation Centre

447 Renaud Line Rd, Belle River · Advance vote Sat Oct 10, 2026 · Election Day Mon Oct 26, 2026

Lakeshore votes in the Ontario municipal election on Monday, October 26, 2026. The Town's own surfaces corroborate advance voting at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on Saturday, October 10, 2026 (an earlier advance day ran October 1 in Comber). This guide prints no voting-place list of its own — check the Town's voter-information page for your ward's places before you go.

Annual fixtures: Remembrance Day and Halloween

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, Remembrance Day services run in three Lakeshore communities, recorded here as the annual fixture the Town's calendar and the branches document: in Belle River, hosted by Legion Branch 399 at the cenotaph by Ladouceur-Lions Park, 245 Ouellette St (the documented pattern is a service from 10:45 a.m., with a meal following at the Legion); in Comber, hosted by Legion Branch 241 at the Comber Veterans Memorial Gardens, 6420 Main St, from 10:45 a.m. with a parade and wreath laying; and in Woodslee, at the Millen Community Centre. No 2026 ceremony times were published at build — confirm this year's notices with the Town calendar and the branches in late October.

October's other fixture is a farm one, carried at exactly its published strength: Bernie's Haunted Farm Maze at Bernie's Farm, 2062 Lakeshore Road 215, the farm's annual Halloween fixture with farm animals and treats, free with a donation box. The October 2026 dates were listed as to-be-announced in the roundup the crew reached — not on the operator's own surface — so no date is asserted here; confirm on the farm's own channels before you drive out.

The 2026 season, recorded as annual fixtures

These editions happened, on these dates, and they are the shape of Lakeshore's year — listed so next year's planning starts from fact. The 167th Comber Fair, Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Comber Fairgrounds, 6400 Main St, Comber — homecrafts, 4-H exhibits and competitions, livestock, the fair parade, figure 8 racing, fireworks and a Sunday demolition derby; exhibits were judged on Thursday, August 6. Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, hosted at the renewed Stoney Point Community Park for its grand opening — parade, ribbon cutting, live music and fireworks at 10 p.m.; the Town rotates the host community each year (Woodslee in 2025, Belle River in 2024), and no 2027 host is published. The Belle River BIA's car show, Friday, July 10, 2026, downtown on Notre Dame Street — the summer anchor of the old Sunsplash weekend, carried on by the BIA as its own fixture.

The season also closed a door. The Boonies Drive-In Theatre, 4625 Richardson Side Rd, Lakeshore's own single-screen drive-in since 2014, ran its final season through the summer and closed permanently on October 4, 2026; its last event, a Halloween Bash on October 3, sold out. It belongs in this record as history — never as a listing.

The market question, answered honestly

Readers ask, so this page answers directly: no current-season farmers' market series is verified in Lakeshore. The Belle River Farmers' Market at Optimist Park, 705 Notre Dame St, is a real market in the town's history — every attestation the crew reached runs from 2014 to 2018, and no operator or Town surface publishes a current season, day or hours for it. Comber's market rests on a single undated directory form. Heritage is not a schedule: no market day is printed here, and any listing that shows a Lakeshore market running this coming weekend is working from stale material. The gap re-opens the moment an operator publishes a season — the crew re-checks in spring 2027. What is verified and dated is the BIA's Christmas Market on Friday, November 27, 2026, alongside the Merry and Bright Parade.

What is not listed, and why

Three honest gaps. Sunsplash is not listed because it no longer exists — the Belle River BIA cancelled it before the 2025 season, and no July date is derived for it. Lakeshore Canadiens fixtures are not listed one by one: the PJHL publishes the schedule, the crew's records carry the team and its Atlas Tube Centre seat, and no fixture was extracted — check the league schedule for the next home date. And Atlas Tube concerts are not listed because none is verified: the centre's arenas can convert for shows, but no dated performance stands on the venue's own surfaces — the town's concert layer is the Parks Concert Series, which publishes on the Town's events calendar at events.lakeshore.ca, the spine this page defers to rather than duplicates.

Common questions

What is on in Lakeshore this month?

The dated core for October 2026: Stroll the Street's Thanksgiving edition in Belle River on Friday, October 9 (6–8:30 p.m.), advance voting at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on Saturday, October 10, and the Town's rolling calendar at events.lakeshore.ca for club, library and recreation listings. The Boonies Drive-In closed permanently on October 4 — it is not a listing.

When is the next Comber Fair?

The 167th fair ran August 7 to 9, 2026. The Comber Agricultural Society has published no 2027 dates, and this guide does not derive any from the usual early-August pattern.

When is the Merry and Bright Parade in 2026?

Friday, November 27, 2026 in Belle River, run by the Belle River BIA, with its Christmas Market the same night. The date is the BIA's own published date.

Is there a farmers' market in Lakeshore this weekend?

No current-season market series is verified. The Belle River Farmers' Market is attested only in 2014–2018 material, and Comber's rests on an undated form — no day or hours are printed as live fact.

Where do Remembrance Day services happen?

In three communities: Belle River (Legion Branch 399, at the cenotaph by Ladouceur-Lions Park), Comber (Legion Branch 241, 6420 Main St, at the Veterans Memorial Gardens) and Woodslee (Millen Community Centre). Confirm 2026 times in late October.
