Live music

Live music in Lakeshore: a parks series, a fair stage and the halls

Presented music in a town of 40,410: the park, the fairgrounds and the halls, each as its organizer publishes it.

Live music in Lakeshore is presented: a parks series, a fair stage and a car-show Friday

The town's music is presented, not ambient: the Municipality's parks concert series fills Lakeview Park through the summer on the Town's own calendar, the Comber Fair stages live entertainment across its August weekend, the BIA's car-show Friday brings the street downtown, and the halls host the tribute and community bills that small towns actually run. There is no standing gig circuit to list, so this page lists the machinery instead: the rooms, the series and the dated anchors, each as its organizer publishes it.

The fair layer anchors the season: the Comber Fair, run by the Comber Agricultural Society from the fairgrounds in Comber (the society's own civic form, carried in the provincial association directory, is 6400 Main Street, Comber). The fair is older than Confederation -- the Town's own event copy dates the tradition to 1859 -- and its 167th edition ran Friday August 7 to Sunday August 9, 2026, with homecrafts, 4-H exhibits and competitions, livestock, a parade, fireworks and a demolition derby on the Sunday at 1:30 p.m. That edition is past at this build. No 2027 dates have been published by the society or the provincial directory, and none are derived here from the early-August pattern

Where the music actually plays

The parks concerts

Lakeview Park, Belle River -- the Town's own series, free and outdoors

The Lakeshore Parks Concert Series is the spine: dated summer instances on the municipal calendar (guitar and tribute bills in 2024; a Comber Square edition since), published by the Town. Check the Town calendar for the current season's bills rather than planning on last summer's.

The fair stage

Comber Fairgrounds, Comber -- the August weekend

Live entertainment is core fair content on the society's own listing, alongside the derby and the midway noise. The 167th edition (August 7-9, 2026) is past; the stage returns with the society's next published edition, whose dates do not exist yet and are not derived here.

The halls

Legion and parish halls, Belle River and Comber -- the community bills

St. Simon and St. Jude Hall in Belle River has hosted ticketed tribute bills on its own record, and the Legion halls carry the town's social music. These are dated, hosted nights -- the opposite of a circuit, and printed as themselves.

Planning around the music

Work from the Town calendar and the fair outward. Between festivals, the parks series and the halls carry the season, and the honest way to plan is the way residents do: the Town's events calendar, the BIA's page and the society's site. A page that listed a weekly gig here would be making it up -- this one would rather tell you where the real bills are posted. One bill never appears again: the Sunsplash festival's stages, cancelled with the festival before the 2025 season.

Common questions

Where can I hear live music in Lakeshore?

At the Town's Lakeshore Parks Concert Series in Lakeview Park in summer, at the Comber Fair's stages in August, at BIA street nights in Belle River and at hosted hall bills at the Legion and parish halls. It is a presented calendar, not a gig circuit.

Is there a music festival in Lakeshore?

Music rides the town's fixtures: the Comber Fair's entertainment programme and the parks concert series are the presented layer. Belle River's Sunsplash Festival, which once anchored the summer, was cancelled by the BIA before the 2025 season and has no current edition.
