Kids' activities in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield: a camp the Ville publishes properly

A municipal camp with sites and prices, a reading club, splash pads and two family parks.

Kids' activities in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield: a published camp, a reading club and two big parks

The kids' layer here is unusually concrete, because the Ville publishes it like a service: a seven-week municipal day camp with sites and prices on its own page, a summer reading club with a closing party, and two parks built for families. This page prints the Ville's own figures as the Ville publishes them -- and nothing it does not.

The camp canon, from the Ville's own camps page: the Camp de jour, ete 2026 ran June 29 to August 14, 2026 for resident children aged 5-12 (age 4 if maternelle 4 ans was completed), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with service de garde 7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. Published sites: the Parc regional des Iles-de-Saint-Timothee (daily beach access), Ecole Saint-Joseph-Artisan (65 rue Meloche) and Ecole Marie-Rose (5383 boulevard Hebert), plus the rotating Camp de jour decouverte (sport initiation with the town's organisms) at the Maison de la jeunesse (42 rue Anderson), the Cite des Arts et des Sports and the Parc Multisport. Published pricing: regular camp 115 dollars a week (105 per additional child at the same address), decouverte 150 a week, service de garde 45 a week. Registration ran by the week via the Espace citoyen with the Carte Acces Valleyfield; the 2026 season is past at build, and the next season's figures are the Ville's to publish.

The kids' layer, piece by piece

The reading club

Bibliotheque Armand-Frappier -- BiblioClub, ages 1-15

The summer BiblioClub (Club de lecture d'ete) runs June to August with weekly challenges, storytimes and a closing party -- the 2026 party ran Saturday, August 22, 2026, 10 a.m. to noon with an 11 a.m. heure du conte; heures du conte for ages 3-5 run through the season at both branches.

The parks

Delpha-Sauve and the Iles-de-Saint-Timothee

the Parc Delpha-Sauve, downtown between the old Beauharnois canal and the Baie Saint-Francois -- the city's signature waterfront park, with its outdoor aquatic complex, baseball field, tennis courts, playgrounds and the Tour des regates -- and the Parc regional des Iles-de-Saint-Timothee, 240 rue Saint-Laurent, the city's regional park in the eastern Saint-Timothee sector: supervised sandy beach in season (closed for the season on October 7, 2026, per the Ville), boat rentals (pedalo, canoe, kayak, SUP), trails and picnic areas, with free access outside beach operation Splash-pad parks across the sectors (Denault, Landry, des Eperviers, des Orchidees, Gagnier, Larin, Lionel-Groulx, Morin, Saint-Joseph-Artisan) complete the Ville's own inventory.

The October fixture

Sorcellerie et enchantement -- Sat Oct 24, 2026, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Gratuit

The town's free Halloween day for families at the islands park, on the Ville's own page. Its older sibling is ENTITE at the MUSO -- 13 and up, and printed that way wherever this guide mentions it.

The Christmas fixture, as a template

Marche de Noel -- 2026 dates unpublished

the Marche de Noel de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, carried on the town's own destination surface (Destination Valleyfield): close to 60 exhibitors of gourmet and artisan products per that surface, with a Santa visit for children at the adjacent parc Lionel-Groulx. Its 2026 dates were NOT published at this build, so this guide prints the tradition and its documented pattern -- a late-November weekend shape, Friday evening plus Saturday and Sunday, as the 2024 edition ran -- as a template only. No 2026 date is asserted anywhere in these pages

Planning the kids' week

Anchor on the Ville's inscription sessions and camps page for the summer, the library calendar for the school year, and the parks in every season. School concerts and galas surface through the schools' own surfaces and the town calendar rather than a board feed -- the Ecole secondaire de la Baie-Saint-Francois publishes an events surface (its Bal des finissants and Gala Sportif et Culturel are documented) -- so check the school before assuming a quiet week.

Common questions

Are there summer camps in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield?

Yes -- the Ville's own Camp de jour: in 2026, June 29 to August 14 for residents aged 5-12, at the Iles-de-Saint-Timothee, Ecole Saint-Joseph-Artisan and Ecole Marie-Rose sites plus a rotating decouverte camp, at 115 dollars a week regular (the Ville's published figures). The next season's dates and prices are the Ville's to publish.

What is there for kids in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in October?

Sorcellerie et enchantement at the islands park (October 24, 2026, free), the library's programmes at both branches, and the pools and rinks of the Ville's recreation sessions. ENTITE at the MUSO is 13+, not a kids' fixture.
