Live music
Live music in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield: one presenter, one park, one bay
A working music town: a 200-show presenter, a cafe stage, a brewery series and a festival park.
Live music in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield runs through one presenter and one park
Most towns this size borrow a music scene. Salaberry-de-Valleyfield employs one: Valspec, 169 rue Champlain -- the town's performing-arts presenter (diffuseur), founded in 1976, presenting 200-plus shows a year across three rooms at that address: the Salle Albert-Dumouchel (an Italian-style hall of about 850 seats), the Cabaret d'Albert and the Cafe Chez Rose. Its 50e programmation was unveiled in August 2026, and its current box office is Tuxedo Billet Around it, the town stacks a cafe stage, a brewery series, church concerts and a park that hosts the province-scale festival bills.
The dated spine of Valspec's autumn 2026 programme, from the presenter's own pages: Loud on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at the Salle Albert-Dumouchel; Christophe Dupere on Friday, November 20, 2026 at La Factrie; and Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais on Friday, November 27, 2026 at the Salle Albert-Dumouchel. No prices were published on the venue surfaces verified, so none are printed here. Valspec also sells shows at partner venues outside town -- every Valspec record in this guide passed the seat test: the room named is in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield
The music, room by room
The big room
The region's Italian-style hall carries the headline bills -- Loud on October 15, 2026 is the autumn's proof -- plus the Cegep en spectacle local final in its season. Check Valspec's own index for the rolling programme; aggregator resale listings are not the venue's programme and this guide does not print from them.
The small rooms
The Cabaret d'Albert and Cafe Chez Rose carry the intimate bills at the same Champlain address, and La Factrie (17 rue du Marche) carries the free and small bills -- Chiens Dog on October 16, 2026, Gratuit on the Ville's page, is the shape.
The park bills
The Regates' five evenings of shows inside their July 3-12, 2026 window, the Fete nationale bills (June 23-24, 2026, programmed by Valspec), the Festival des arts weekend (August 8-9, 2026) and the Mardis en Musique free Tuesday series the Chamber links to -- the park is the town's outdoor room.
The brewery series and the cathedral
The microbrewery's show series is ticketed via lepointdevente.com, and the cathedral hosts occasional concerts sold via Valspec -- two more real layers, each at its own strength.
How to use this page
Start with Valspec's own index -- it is the town's music calendar. Then check La Factrie and the Ville's evenements pages for the free bills, and the park in festival season. One discipline: Valspec also presents at partner venues outside town, and a Valspec sale is not automatically a Valleyfield show -- the room named on the presenter's page governs, and this guide prints only the shows seated in town.
