Nightlife
Nightlife in Reims
Reims isn't Paris and doesn't pretend to be - but the Erlon terraces, a proper 1,300 m² club, and a string of late bars give you a full night out without leaving the centre.
The big rooms
Atrium
The main event: a 1,300 m² hybrid club and events complex running since 2012, open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 11:30pm plus eve-of-holiday nights. International DJs, a serious light rig, terraces and mezzanines - and the default venue for the big student nights the Rémois BDEs organise. Check the agenda before going; themed nights sell out.
La Loge
Bar-restaurant-club in the centre, open Wednesday to Saturday with late hours (until 5am Thu-Sat). Dinner turns into dancing without changing rooms - a useful one-stop night.
Bôha
Nightclub with a cocktail-bar sensibility, open Friday and Saturday nights. Smaller and dressier than the Atrium - book a table if you're going in a group.
Cristal Club
The late-night option right on the main square, open Friday and Saturday until 6am. Convenient when the rest of the Erlon is winding down.
The Erlon crawl
Place Drouet-d'Erlon is where a Reims night out starts - the whole pedestrian square is terraces, and in summer the crowd spills onto the cobbles. The Ernest Hemingway bar is the student favourite, loud and packed; La Bodega next door runs the same energy. L.Bee Bar (65 Place Drouet d'Erlon) is the beer specialist of the strip, with a deep tap list for a square better known for champagne. Mr Fogg's does the British-pub thing for homesick Anglophones.
None of these are clubs - they're the warm-up. The realistic Reims arc: apéro on the Erlon, dinner somewhere nearby, then the Atrium or La Loge after midnight.
Live late
Monkey's Barrel House (5 Avenue de Laon) blurs the line - beer and signature cocktails up front, live music and cabaret nights in the back, open late weekends. For proper gigs, La Cartonnerie (84 Rue du Dr Lemoine) runs concerts into the night; see the live-music guide.
Common questions
What time do clubs open in Reims?
Late. The Atrium opens at 11:30pm Thursday to Saturday; locals arrive after 1am. Bars on the Place Drouet-d'Erlon run from apéro hour until 1-2am.
Is there a dress code at Reims clubs?
Smart casual at the Atrium and Bôha - trainers are a gamble on busy nights. The Erlon bars don't care.
Can I walk between nightlife spots?
The Erlon bars are all on one square. The Atrium is a 15-20 minute walk north (or a short taxi); La Loge and the clubs near the centre are walkable from the square.
