Events in Clearview — fall and winter 2026
Clearview's dated file for the rest of 2026 turns on a fair that has just closed, a halls festival still running, and Stayner's street nights. The Great Northern Exhibition filled its fairgrounds September 25 to 27, and the Small Halls Festival plays the township's community halls until November 7. Ahead sit a library storytime and a costumed downtown walk in Stayner in October, council nights at 217 Gideon Street through the fall, and the Santa Claus Parade down Main Street in December. The election that sits over all of it, voting October 12 to 26, is carried in full on the town guide page, because it is a record, not an event listing. Every weekday below was checked against the 2026 calendar, and anything this file could not establish from the organiser's or the Township's own surface is named as missing instead of invented.
Photos for Clearview are still on their way. Every listing below is real.
Already in the books: the Great Northern Exhibition, September 25-27
The township's biggest weekend of the year ran Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the GNE Fairgrounds, 2220 Fairgrounds Road North, Stayner, with the grounds opening daily at 9:00 a.m., per the producing society's own pages. The producer is the Collingwood Agricultural Society, and the name is the trap this guide keeps pointing at: the society is Collingwood-named, but its fairgrounds sit inside Clearview Township with a Stayner address, so the fair is a Clearview record, stated here as past for 2026. The society dates its fair tradition to 1855. Next year's dates are the society's to publish first, on its own site, and no admission price is printed here for either year. Two more 2026 festival dates are already in the books: the Gathering of the Classics, the classic aircraft and car gathering at Edenvale Aerodrome (5195 Highway 26 East, Stayner) on Saturday, August 8, 2026, per the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation's own event page; and the township's longest-running festival, the Sunnidale Winterama in New Lowell, which ran its 51st edition Friday, February 6 to Sunday, February 8, 2026 per the Township's own Discover Clearview surfaces. Winterama has run since 1975; its next edition is the Township's to date.
Also in the books: the Duck Race, Canada Day and the market season
Three more 2026 dates belong in this file, all of them past at build and stated as past. The Stayner Kinsmen Duck Race ran Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Kinsmen Park, Stayner, hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Stayner & District — a rubber-duck race on the river, not a foot race, with its date carried in the Clearview Public Library's own May 2026 newsletter and its format on the Township's own Duck Race page. The Clearview Canada Day Parade ran Wednesday, July 1, 2026 down Highway 26 in Stayner, hosted by volunteers of the Central Ontario ATV Club, per the Township's own Canada Day page. And the township's two weekly markets, both run on the Township's own Discover Clearview markets page, closed their 2026 seasons inside this file's span: Stayner Music, Market and Park It on Thursday evenings at Station Park, June 4 to September 3, and the Brentwood Farmers' Market on Friday afternoons at Brentwood Hall, May 29 to Friday, October 9, 2026 — its season finale falls on this guide's build day. The Creemore market on the same Township page is Creemore's own record and is not staged here.
Running now: the Small Halls Festival, September 18 to November 7
The file's one live thread is a series. The Small Halls Festival, owned by the Township itself, runs Friday, September 18 to Saturday, November 7, 2026 per the festival's own site: a series of more than 20 events, live music, local food, arts and family activities, across the township's community halls, including the halls at Avening, Dunedin, Duntroon, Brentwood, Nottawa, Singhampton and Sunnidale Corners, per the Township's own festival page. One dated instance is already past, a festival concert at Sunnidale Corners Community Centre on Saturday, October 3. The remaining programme, hall by hall and night by night, belongs to the festival's own site, and this file prints no ticket price and no hall date it did not read there. One listing conflict is flagged rather than merged: a provincial festivals listing gives a September 17 start; the festival's own site says September 18, and the festival governs. Creemore's guide carries its own copy of this same township series; here it is staged once, as the township's.
Wednesday, October 21: storytime with the humane society
The library starts the file. On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 11:00 to 11:45 a.m., the Stayner Branch of the Clearview Public Library (269 Regina Street, Stayner) hosts GTHS Storytime at the Library, a family storytime with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, per the library's own calendar listing. The same programme ran at the branch in September, so this is a recurring library morning, printed from the library's own dated record. Registration and any change belong to the library; this file prints no price, because the listing publishes none.
Friday, October 23: Witches Walk, downtown Stayner
Two nights later Stayner dresses up. Witches Walk 2026 runs Friday, October 23, 2026, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., gathering at Station Park (7259 Highway 26, Stayner) and spilling into downtown Stayner, per the organiser, the Clearview Chamber of Commerce, on its own event page: downtown shops open for the night, a scavenger hunt, gift-basket draws and a Haunted Storefront Showdown. This is Stayner's own Halloween night, a week and a day before Halloween itself (Saturday, October 31). Creemore's Halloween events are a separate village file and live in Creemore's guide; Erin's and Kingston's walks of the same name are different towns' nights and were not imported.
October 23 to 31: The Lightning Thief at the fairgrounds
The same night as the Witches Walk, the township's own stage company opens its fall production. Clearview Community Theatre presents The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical at the GNE Fairgrounds, 2220 Fairgrounds Road North, Stayner, with six public performances per the theatre's own tickets page: Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. The venue is wheelchair accessible and the production carries a strobe-light advisory, per the theatre's own page; the Halloween matinee invites children to wear their costumes. One conflict is flagged rather than merged: the theatre's rehearsal page also lists a Wednesday, October 28 show that does not appear in its public performance list, so this file prints only the six public performances and the theatre's live surface governs.
Council nights: November 9, December 7 and December 14
The township's governance dates come straight off the Township's published 2026 Council Meeting Schedule, all of them Mondays at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 217 Gideon Street, Stayner, and open to the public. Monday, November 9, 2026 is a regular meeting of the current council. Monday, December 7, 2026 is the inaugural meeting of the 2026-2030 council, the first sitting after the October 26 election; this file calls it that because the Township's schedule does, and asserts nothing about who will be sitting in the chairs. Monday, December 14, 2026 is a regular meeting of the new council. Agendas and minutes are the Township's own surfaces to publish.
Saturday, December 5: the Stayner Santa Claus Parade
The year's last big street date is Saturday, December 5, 2026, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: the Stayner Santa Claus Parade, down Main Street, Stayner, finishing at the old Foodland, with hot chocolate and hot dogs at the end of the route and monetary donations accepted for the Foodbank, per the Township's own events calendar. One overlap worth knowing: Creemore holds its own Santa Claus Parade the same afternoon, at 1:30 p.m., which makes the two parades a double-header for anyone inclined to catch both; Creemore's parade is listed in Creemore's guide, and each town's file carries only its own parade. No Stayner tree-lighting date was published on the surfaces this file rests on, so none is printed.
The election window, October 12 to 26
Between the storytime and the council nights sits the election itself. Voting runs by internet and telephone from Monday, October 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m., with Election Services Centres for in-person help on election day in Stayner, Creemore and New Lowell. The full certified record, every candidate for mayor, deputy mayor, the five wards and the school boards, the two acclaimed trustees, and the voting rules exactly as the Township publishes them, is carried on this guide's town page, and the Township's election page governs anything beyond it. It is deliberately not broken into event listings here.
What this file does not contain, and why
Three honest absences. No Creemore events are listed: Creemore is a village inside this township with its own closed Dayfari guide, and its Halloween nights, library programmes, market and parade are its own file; the Small Halls Festival above is the exception that proves the rule, a township-owned series staged once here as the township's own record. No hockey or lacrosse fixtures are printed: Clearview Minor Hockey and the Stayner Hitmen are real, verified associations, but no dated future home fixture was published at a grade this file could stand behind, so none was staged. Nothing from the neighbours is imported: Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and the other surrounding municipalities hold their own fall events, and they belong to those towns' guides.
The standing offer between dates
Between the dated entries, fall in Clearview still fills a day easily: the Escarpment trails at Devil's Glen and the Nottawasaga Bluffs, Station Park and Main Street in Stayner, the library branches in three villages, and a drive through Glen Huron, Dunedin and Singhampton while the maples are turning. All of it is detailed, at its grade, on the Things to Do page.
