Live music

Live music in Clearview: twenty halls, one autumn, and a gazebo in summer

Clearview's music does not live in one venue -- it tours its own halls. The Small Halls Festival is the season, the market gazebo is the summer form, and the fair grandstand is the big weekend.

The stages, and the discipline for using them

The township's culture runs on its halls. The Small Halls Festival -- the township's own festival, running September 18 to November 7 in 2026 on the festival's own site, smallhallsfestival.ca -- strings more than twenty concerts, food nights and family events through the community halls of Avening, Dunedin, Duntroon, Brentwood, Nottawa, Singhampton and Sunnidale Corners, with tickets running from the twenty-five-dollar range to VIP prices on the township's listing. It is the single best reason to be in Clearview on an autumn evening, and it is live right now.

The festival model matters: instead of one stage, the township's halls each take their night -- Avening, Dunedin, Duntroon, Brentwood, Nottawa, Singhampton, Sunnidale Corners -- so the audience drives to the music and every village gets its evening. Tickets run from the twenty-five-dollar range to VIP prices on the township's listing, sales are final and venues take cash on the festival's own terms.

The circuit

Small Halls Festival, Sep 18-Nov 7

More than twenty events in 2026 on the festival's own grid: concerts, food-and-music nights and family shows, each in a different hall. Read the night's venue and ticket terms on the festival's site before you drive.

The gazebo

Music, Market & Park It, Station Park

Thursday evenings in summer, the Stayner market carries live gazebo music inside its market hours -- the township's free, weekly, open-air stage, with the Kinsmen's licensed area beside it.

The grandstand

Great Northern Exhibition, fair weekend

The fair's grandstand programme -- shows across the September fair weekend at the Stayner fairgrounds, on the Society's grid. The biggest single music weekend of the township's year.

The rest of the year

Outside the festival, music lives where small-town music lives: hall concerts and dances announced by the hall boards, Legion and community suppers with entertainment in the villages, church and school concerts in Stayner, and the arena's event nights. Those grids live with their organizers and halls -- this guide points to them rather than copying a calendar it cannot keep current. Creemore's own music rooms and its Station on the Green programming are Creemore's records, on Creemore's pages.

The discipline for using this page

A hall concert is a drive, a door time and a cash box: check the festival or hall surface the day before, arrive for the door, and plan the dark country drive home at the speed it asks. That small discipline is the whole difference between the township's music scene working and not.

Common questions

Where do you hear live music in Clearview?

On the Small Halls Festival circuit in autumn (twenty-plus hall nights), at the Station Park gazebo on Thursday market evenings in summer, and on the GNE grandstand on fair weekend. Hall boards announce smaller shows through the year.

When is the Small Halls Festival?

September 18 to November 7 in 2026, on the festival's own site -- a township-wide series across Avening, Dunedin, Duntroon, Brentwood, Nottawa, Singhampton and Sunnidale Corners halls.

Is the market music free?

The gazebo music sits inside the Thursday market's hours at Station Park -- a market evening, not a ticketed concert. The Small Halls nights are the ticketed form.
